A Joyful Celebration: Nigerian Mother Marks Quadruplets’ First Birthday
The beauty and joy of motherhood are unparalleled. A collection of photographs featuring Nigerian mother, Chidinma Offor, with her twins and quadruplets has captured the hearts of social media users, inspiring wishes for similar blessings. These pictures commemorate the first birthday of the quadruplets, along with their older siblings, the twins—a boy and a girl.
The proud mother, who first welcomed a set of twins before the quadruplets, appreciated God and her family for standing by her in raising her kids and shared her amazing journey with the quadruplets before and after birth.

“It’s been one hell of a bumpy ride. When I had my first set of twins, the sleepless nights Koby and Kaira gave me, I thought I had seen it all. But NO! Not until I had the Quadruplets. While pregnant with them, I had issues with my helpers (chai, these helpers know how to misbehave at the wrongest time). I was so frustrated that I sent them home at once. I took care of my home with the help of my darling hubby while heavily pregnant (I was about 6 months pregnant or so, but my tummy was as big as a normal 9 months old pregnancy).
Yes, I preferred to take care of my home and my first set of twins because it was just easier having 2 grown-ups misbehave just because they thought they were handicapped. I needed to prove them wrong or so I thought. I swept, mopped, cooked… I couldn’t help but do these things against my Doctor’s advice. My hubby Obiajulu Poco Okafor, oh! My darling hubby… I will marry you again in my next world. He bathed Koby and Kaira, fed them, kept the house clean when necessary, joined me in the kitchen when I’m cooking, cleaned the kitchen afterwards, asked me to go to bed so he can stay up with Koby and Kaira until they go to bed, still comes out every hour to check up on us. All these were done after going through the stress of work at his workplace.
At some point, false contractions set in due to stress. Hubby asked me to pack a few clothes because we would be going to LIFE Hospital AWKA for the medical team to take proper care of me. I cried bitterly, not because I was scared, but because I considered a whole lot. I thought of things like: who will take care of my babies? How will they feed while I’m far away in Awka with hubby? How will they go to school? How will my husband take care of my kids and still take care of me at the same time? Oh, I cried so hard. Little did I know that God had it all planned out already.
We managed to take the kids to my Parents-in-law, Plus Ifeanyichukwu Okafor, Maureen Okafor, my mum Chukwu Gold, and kid sis stayed with them there. By the way, thank God for my parents-in-law, my kid sis Chioma Paul, and my mum. They took proper care of my babies. My mum took them to school with the driver, sometimes alone, she would rush home afterwards to prepare for work. My sweet mum, I love you. Chai! You know that saying that ‘A lady appreciates her mother more when she starts having her own babies’… Very true. They jointly took care of my babies while we were away. When Koby and Kaira came to see me at the hospital, I was super happy, they added so much weight. They looked well taken care of. But I wondered how my mother and kid sis were coping because Koby and Kaira would still wake every 3 hours to feed even at night. Well, to cut the long story short, my sis managed to stop that. How? That’s a story for another day.
I had my Quadruplets at 32 weeks and that was the beginning of another journey. This past few months haven’t been an easy one. The four of them can decide to run temperature at 1°C (especially after immunization), making me have up to 30 minutes sleep all through the night. At a time, I asked myself if immunization was really necessary. That stuff makes them sick like crazy. Everything with them has been a struggle. They all want equal attention, they want to be fed at the same time. Even these pictures, I planned using 3 different outfits for this photoshoot but see me… we ended up with 1, with a lot of begging. Koby and Kaira aren’t left out!
Life itself hasn’t been easy at all, coupled with the fact that I have to add my fashion dream to the whole thing. Before I started, I had doubts, I wondered if it was possible to go to a proper fashion school to learn with the time constraint and all… there was no free time. I decided to learn online. YES! I learned to do all these without going to a fashion house. At night when everybody must have gone to bed, I would have 2 hours sleep and wake up to go through the internet and find things that will help me and my fashion dream. THE MIND!!! The mind has a vital role to play in order for success to be achieved, trust me! It’s been months and I’m here, waxing stronger by the day. I never thought I could do it but here I am.
We are a year old today, now you can see why I’m particularly happy about this birthday. It marks the beginning of freedom to a certain level. Shebi you see all these people tapping updates, let me say it once more, it’s not easy o! You will get frustrated at some point but trust me, if you keep pushing, you will be marveled at the level of strength you have.
Happy birthday my sweet babies.”
