Kayla Glines’ story is a heartwarming tale of patience, hope, despair, and ultimately, unparalleled joy. After over a decade of waiting, the 32-year-old became the world’s first triplet to give birth to quadruplets. Against staggering odds, she welcomed four adorable babies into the world: Reese, Jameson, Oaklee, and Lincoln.
In a touching image that echoes an old family album, the four newborns snuggled together, reminiscent of a photograph capturing Kayla as a baby alongside her triplet brother and sister.
Kayla’s remarkable journey spans more than ten years, filled with moments of hope, patience, and heartache, leading to the fulfillment of her dream for a family with her husband, Allen.
Two years ago, she experienced the joy of a triplet pregnancy after undergoing fertility treatments. Although two of the triplets survived, one sadly did not make it.
However, when Kayla unexpectedly became pregnant again, this time without the need for fertility treatments, she was astounded to learn that she was due to give birth to four more children.
She shared her amazement, saying, “We just couldn’t believe it when I went for a scan, and the doctor told me that I was pregnant with quads. We had been trying for so many years to fall pregnant naturally, and to discover I was going to have four babies, especially when I’m a triplet myself, was just unbelievable. We were very nervous, as we knew how risky a quad pregnancy can be, but luckily, all the babies were born safely.”
βKayla and her husband, Allen, who reside in Salt Lake City, Utah, had previously adopted her brother’s two daughters, now eight and six years old, before embarking on fertility treatments in 2016. Two of the triplets were born safely in August 2017, and the quadruplets arrived in March of this year. The couple now has six children under the age of two, and a total of eight in their growing family.
Kayla’s journey is a testament to the power of hope and the boundless possibilities of life, even after years of waiting. Her story serves as an inspiration to those who never give up on their dreams, no matter how challenging the path may seem.
