Shiloh Lebeau pride of indigenous people when creating many historical imprints
Shiloh Lebeau is a trailblazing young woman who has made history by becoming the first full-time college student, male or female, to come out of the state of Kansas and win a National Intercollegiate Championship title and Belt. She is of mixed Navajo and Lakota Sioux heritage, with roots in the Hon’agha’ahnii Clan of the Navajo Nation and the Cheyenne River Tribe.
Shiloh’s achievement is especially notable because it occurred while she was a student at Haskell Indian Nations University, a federally recognized tribal university in Lawrence, Kansas. Haskell is dedicated to promoting Native American cultures and providing educational opportunities for indigenous students, and Shiloh’s success is a testament to the university’s mission.
