Two Sisters Recreate Adorable Childhood Photo During Pregnancy
Two sisters from San Diego, Bri Dietz and Chaulet Barba, had an incredible surprise when they found out they were both pregnant at the same time. As kids, they used to play with dolls and pretend to be mothers, never imagining that their dream of being simultaneously pregnant would come true one day.
The heartwarming story begins when Bri, now 35, and Chaulet, now 33, were just 6 and 4 years old, respectively. They took a cute photo together, with curlers in their hair and balloons under their nighties. Little did they know that decades later, they would recreate this very picture, only this time with their real baby bumps.
After some searching, Chaulet stumbled upon the 1990s snapshot of their childhood photo, and the sisters decided to recreate it with their pregnant bellies. Bri gave birth to her now 2-year-old daughter, Goldie, in October 2019, and shortly after, Chaulet welcomed her own 1-year-old daughter, Gemma, in January 2020.
The bond between the two little girls, Goldie and Gemma, mirrors the close relationship of their mothers when they were kids. With this in mind, the sisters continued the photoshoot tradition by including their daughters. The resulting triptych shows Goldie and Gemma posing with their own under-nightdress balloons.
“It felt like it came full circle from playing that as a kid, but it felt like a special sister moment,” said Bri, who is now a mother of three.
The sisters hope that their sweet photoshoots will remind viewers of the wonderful family time during childhood. Bri emphasizes the significance of innocent playtime with siblings and hopes people will cherish those memories amid the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
The heartwarming story of these two sisters and their precious daughters serves as a reminder of the joy and love that family brings, especially during those magical moments in childhood.
