Shakira’s youngest son, Sasha, who is just a few months old, is already displaying an uncanny resemblance to his mother’s soccer star husband, Gerard Piqué.
The international pop sensation recently posted a photo on Thursday that showcased baby Sasha side by side with a picture of Piqué as an infant. Their poses, eyes, and even their tousled hair are so similar that they could easily be mistaken for twins!
In honor of El Día del Padres, Spain’s revered Father’s Day celebration, which falls on March 19th, Shakira took to social media to share a collection of endearing photos. Showcasing her multicultural influence, the talented singer shared these heartfelt snapshots on both Facebook and Instagram, accompanied by captions in both Spanish and English. Utilizing the Spanish expression “De tal palo… tal astilla!” which translates to “Like father… like son!” in English, Shakira eloquently conveyed the profound resemblance and bond between her husband and their precious newborn. This tribute highlights the timeless connection that transcends language and culture.
Prior to Sasha’s birth in January, the couple organized a “World Baby Shower” in partnership with UNICEF. Fans were given the opportunity to “purchase” symbolic gifts like measles vaccines and clean water kits for children in need around the globe. Shakira’s first UNICEF baby shower, held for the birth of her son Milan in 2013, resulted in the donation of 80,000 polio vaccines, several tons of food for malnourished children, and around 1,000 malaria bed nets.
Shakira and Piqué have generously shared numerous heartwarming family moments, including a video where Shakira is seen teaching Milan how to read in Spanish.
