Big Baby, Big Love My Second Child is So Large Everyone Thinks I’m Having Twins
Jodie Baines, a 25-year-old mother from Chorley, Lancashire, amazed people with the size of her baby bump, leading them to believe she was expecting twins. However, she gave birth to a baby girl who was so large that she could fit into clothing meant for a six-month-old.
On August 6, at 12:31 am, Jodie and her partner Alex Taylor, 24, welcomed their baby girl, Aria Taylor, who weighed a whopping 11lbs 9oz.
Due to her remarkably large baby bump, Jodie, who works as a care worker, found it challenging to get out of bed comfortably. Her belly appeared as if she were already 20 weeks pregnant when she was only 10 weeks along.
Jodie endured a laborious 25-hour labor, and when she finally gave birth, Aria was too big to fit into newborn baby clothes. Instead, she skipped straight to clothing designed for six-month-olds.
“People said it looked like I was carrying a six-month-old baby around, but she was a newborn,” Jodie said, describing the reactions she received. “We put her on the scales and saw her weight and were like wow. My son Theo was a big baby too, weighing 8lbs 6oz.”
Despite her size, Aria is an easy baby who sleeps for seven hours a night. Jodie shared that the initial clothing sizes were too small for Aria, so they quickly transitioned to three to six-month-sized clothes. Now, at four months old, Aria comfortably wears clothing designed for six to nine-month-olds, fitting in perfectly with her older brother Theo.
Jodie’s pregnancy journey was filled with challenges and surprises. Her baby bump was larger than expected, causing discomfort and drawing attention from others. However, the birth of Aria brought immense joy to the family, and despite the initial shock of her size, she has quickly become a cherished addition to their lives.
