Ari is a transgender man who is expecting his child, therefore ari and Caitlyn aren’t your typical pair.
Those who frequently watch TLC’s programming are aware that the network is a gold mine for families who are a little bit unusual. Extraordinary People is one of the newest shows, and each episode features individuals that have extraordinary and unusual circumstances.
My pregnant Husband, a segment that aired in July, explored the lives of ari and Myles, two transgender guys who are expecting children.
These specials share the singular and inspiring tales of individuals who daily contend with enormous obstacles. The characters in each narrative desire for love, understanding, and a sense of belonging despite the rarity of their conditions.
“I’ve always yearned to have children. However, I never imagined that I would be the one to carry the child “In a first-look clip released by TLC, a six-months-pregnant Myles makes a statement. “I consider myself to be transgender. I’m a man at heart, all the way through. I simply so happen to be equipped to give birth.”
The video shows viewers that Myles, a Black trans man, confronts unique difficulties during pregnancy compared to typical people.

In another scene, Myles and his transgender wife Precious are informed that the pregnancy may have complications. “You could lose the pregnancy,” the doctor warns Myles, “because your cervix, the bottom part of your uterus, has gotten somewhat thin.”
Meanwhile, as his wife explains, “My baby is being carried by my husband. We won’t succeed in getting through this if I falter.”
Transgender man ari is eight months along with his unborn child.We also meet ari and Caitlin, a cisgender woman who identifies as queer, in the teaser clip. When asked about her gender identity, an eight months pregnant ari says, “I was designated female at birth, but I am transgender.
In the teaser, Caitlin states, “ari has been incredibly close and bonded with the kid.” It’s challenging to remain envious.
In a different episode sneak peek, ari and Caitlin reveal to their neighbors, who they’ve known for about a year, that ari is not only transgender but also pregnant and due soon.
It’s time to let our neighbors know that I’m expecting, says ari. His wife remarks, “It’s a touch out of the norm,” before revealing a ton of details to their unaware neighbors.
The fact that ari goes 10 days past his due date and worries that he will need emergency surgery to deliver the baby is one potential medical issue with his pregnancy.
