Wild crocodile finally freed from motorcycle tire that was stuck around its neck for 6 years
A heartbreaking incident of animal cruelty occurred in Indonesia, where a crocodile had a tire stuck in its head for six years. It is believed that the tire was thrown into the crocodile’s habitat by local villagers, causing severe distress and pain to the animal.
The crocodile was first spotted with the tire stuck in its head by animal activist and conservationist, Wawan, in 2016. Despite numerous efforts by Wawan and other activists to rescue the crocodile, they were unable to do so due to the animal’s aggressive behavior and the lack of proper equipment.
The tire had slowly embedded itself into the crocodile’s skull, causing it immense pain and discomfort. The animal was unable to eat properly and had trouble swimming, leading to a decline in its overall health.
It was not until April 2022 that the crocodile was finally rescued and brought to a wildlife rehabilitation center. The tire was carefully removed from its head, and the animal underwent surgery to treat its injuries.
The incident highlights the importance of responsible waste disposal and the need for stricter laws to prevent animal cruelty. It is essential that we take better care of our environment and the animals that inhabit it, as they play a crucial role in maintaining the balance of our ecosystem.
We must also support the efforts of animal activists and conservationists who work tirelessly to protect and preserve endangered species. Through education and awareness, we can help create a better future for both animals and humans alike.
